Learn about our badges
We have created five STEM Girl Scout badges, designed to augment existing programming for Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, and Seniors.
Engineering in Action
Cadette Girl Scouts (grades 6-8) learn about women in engineering and the variety of fields in engineering.
Junior Girl Scouts (grades 4-5) learn about how technology has changed throughout the years.
Brownie Girl Scouts (grades 2-3) learn about the importance of math and numbers in everyday life.
Senior Girl Scouts (grades 9-10) learn about how robots are used in everyday life.
Cadette Girl Scouts (grades 6-8) learn the history and fundamentals of programming.
What do our badges consist of?
Girls answer questions and complete thinking activities to learn more about the badge's concepts.
Girls apply the skills they learned in several interesting hands-on activities.
Girls share what they discovered and spread the thrills of STEM to their troop and their community.
Our Badge Workshops
We run badge workshops throughout the Bay Area and are always happy to talk about running one for local troops. We have also developed comprehensive “how to" guides that allow troop leaders to run their own workshops and we are currently developing a series of videos to provide more detail about specific elements of our workshops.
